Copaiba essential oil is the product of distilling resin tapped directly from the trunk of the Copaifera tree, native to the Amazon region of Brazil. The tree’s unique genetic makeup allows it to store massive amounts of resin. The canals and cavities have the ability to expand so much so that one tree can contain gallons of resin! Thanks to the naturally occurring constituent beta-caryophyllene found within the essential oil and its uniquely sweet aromatic profile, Copaiba is a popular addition to many spa and skin treatments.
